Italien gewinnt das Elfmeterdrama in Köln

Es war eine große Veranstaltung. In einem packendem Finale zwischen Gastgeber Deutschland und Italien, konnte Italien im Elfmeterschießen den Weltmeistertitel sichern. Durch diese Brisans war es folgegleich auch eine sehr gute Quote für ProSieben.

Die Quoten waren deutlich besser als vor zwei Jahren bei der Autoball Europameisterschaft. So konnte ProSieben den Tagesmarktanteil für sich entscheiden. Insgesamt schauten 2,71 Millionen Menschen zu, was einen Marktanteil von starken 14,7 % ausmachte. Noch besser lief es in der wichtigen Zielgruppe der 14 - 49- Jährigen. Dort schauten im Schnitt 1,97 Millionen Menschen zu, was einen hervorragenden Marktanteil von 25,1 % bedeutete.

Stefan Raab der für Deutschland antrat, war der große Favourit des Abends. So konnte er in der Vorrunde alle 3 Spiele mit einem Sieg für sich entscheiden. Im Halbfinale kam dann das erste große Duell gegen Erzrivale Joey Kelly, der für Irland in Rennen ging. Mit einem 5:0 Sieg gewann Deutschland.

Anschließend im großen Finale gab es das heißersehnte Duell gegen Italien. In der regulären Spielzeit konnte kein Sieger ermittelt werden, so ging es ins Elfmeterschießen. Jedoch hieß der Sieger Giovanni Zarella. Er gewann das Finale somit 7:6 für Italien.
Die Stimmung war sehr gut, was wiederum einen kleinen Vorgeschmack auf die Fußball WM geben dürfte.
